Unveiling of Alfano Sculpture
at the Met

At a private gala affair on October 6, 2005 in the NY Metropolitan Museum of Art's famous Temple of Dendur, Michael's portrait sculpture of Arnie Snider III was unveiled as a surprise retirement gift from Deerfield Management, the healthcare hedge fund group Snider founded. After the unveiling, Snider curiously viewed his likeness, while Alfano relished the accomplishment. The sculpture was commissioned through MFI Art and was created from photos of Snider. Cast in bronze, it is mounted on a granite base bearing the inscription "Let's do the right thing as if we were invincible."
