Foot Sculpture for The Art of Running

Winged Foot
Clay, 2008
Michael designed and sculpted a winged foot in clay for the public art project "The Art of Running" that kicks off in April 2010 and continues through 2011. Resin castings of the foot were made. Selected artists will paint or otherwise adorn a foot with an original interpretation related to the theme, "The Art of Running." Proceeds benefit the Hopkinton Cultural Arts Alliance and Hopkinton Athletic Association.
In 2010, two feet have been painted and will be on view in Hopkinton and Boston the weekend of April 16. By April 2011, there will be 26 feet completed. For more about the exciting project, see www.theartofrunning.org
